Welcome to gedatec!
The future of building technology is here: With gedatec, we are creating a new umbrella brand and building on the success and 40-year history of belektro. The trade fair has constantly evolved over the decades with new segments, partners and formats - and this change is continuing!
belektro will remain and continue to develop - with a clear growth perspective, new partners and an expanded focus.
With a new umbrella brand, a fresh brand identity and a cross-trade focus, we are creating a platform from October 13-15, 2026 that will bring the electrical trades, HVAC professionals and roofers closer together to drive the energy transition forward.
Why a new name?
At belektro 2024, representatives of the Berlin and Brandenburg electrical, HVAC and roofing guilds have joined forces with Messe Berlin to herald the next stage in belektro's development. With the signing of the cooperation agreement, a first milestone was reached that has laid the foundation for the future.
With the new umbrella brand, belektro will be embedded in a larger framework in order to promote cooperation between the trades and present the future of building technology even more comprehensively.
The aim is to create a platform that focuses on smart and sustainable solutions for building technology and helps trade businesses and industry to successfully implement the energy transition.
What can you expect?
gedatec continues the strengths of belektro and adds new perspectives: The tried-and-tested trade fair remains the home of the electrical trades and is now being expanded to include the expertise of the HVAC and roofing trades.
The heart of the trade fair remains the cross-trade exchange between electrical trades, HVAC professionals and new, the roofers. Together we show:
- Efficient solutions through close cooperation and innovative approaches.
- Sustainable technologies that interlock perfectly - from the power supply to heating systems to the building envelope.
- A strong network that combines expertise and innovation to drive forward the energy transition in the building sector.

From October 13-15, 2026, we will be presenting the next generation of building technology - gedatec - at the Berlin exhibition grounds. Under the new umbrella brand, belektro will remain a central component and at the same time grow with an expanded range, new partners and a clear focus on the energy transition.
